Interfaccia Digitale Award
INTERFACCIA DIGITALE Award is part of the VIDEOBOX Screendance Festival that will be held in Pesaro, from October 8 to October 12, 2025. VIDEOBOX Screendance Festival is partner of the International Pesaro Film Fest.
The call of Interfaccia Digitale has been promoted worldwide through the FilmFreeway platform.
We have received 1836 entries from all over the world, but only 149 videos met the formal criteria set out in the Regulations.
The admitted works have been processed by the International Jury of experts composed of Ingvild Isaksen (Norway), choreographer, performer and festival artistic director; Paula Petreca (Brazil), dancer and researcher in dance history; Juliana Zelenski Alves (Brazil), artist and performer, contemporary dance teacher — together with Paula Petreca as the duo behind the podcast “Ladeira a Bausch”; Margherita Scalise (Belgium-Italy), dramaturg, director and filmmaker; Masako Matsushita (Japan-Italy), choreographer, performer and curator and Aïda Colmenero Diaz (Spain), choreographer, director and filmmaker. The Jury has selected 21 Semifinalists (instead of 20), whose works will be screened during the Videobox Festival.
The Finalists have been processed by the Award Jury, composed of Pedro Armocida, Artistic Director of the Pesaro Film Festival and President of the Jury; Antonio Cioffi, Artistic Director of Hangartfest, contemporary dance festival; and a pool of young directors: Elia Mazzini, Viola Bartolini and Michelangelo Roseo.

Finimondo / João Sanchez / Portugal
Motivation:
Finimondo by João Sanchez captivated us with its acute and unsettling use of black and white and its cinematography, integrated into editing that, together with evocative staging, accurately and intensely rewrites the author’s story. We wish to reward this work for its direction of the actors, which is evident not only in the structure of the movements, capable of creating a choreography that is not strictly dance, but also in the refined interpretation of nightmares and monstrous beings.

Mention assigned by the Students / Motivation:
The short film “Halocline” was selected by the student jury for its completeness in terms of meaning, addressing a highly topical topic: the pollution of marine environments. The work was excellent from a scenographic and landscape point of view, also demonstrating great coherence between dance and the message conveyed on the complex relationship between man and nature.
